Rules of The Cat Room
To ensure a purr-fectly delightful experience for both you and our whiskered residents, we kindly ask you to abide by a few rules. While our cats are usually angels, they might sprinkle in a dash of unpredictability. To make sure your visit is a paw-some one, please play by the rules of the cat room.
Scrub your paws before and after entering the cat room. Please wash/sanitize your hands upon entering and leaving the cat room.
Keep your eyes peeled. Be on the lookout for crafty kitties lurking by the doors when entering and leaving.
Capture our fluffy friends on camera. Pictures are welcome, but the flash must be off.
Follow any instructions given by our cat room attendants or volunteers. They know our cats the best.
Shower our cats with love and care, they deserve nothing less! Please be gentle and kind with our cats.
Do not pick up the cats. Cats have their quirks, and some are not fans of being picked up. The purrfect approach is to park yourself and let them take the lead, whether they grace your lap or choose to roam free.
Let sleeping cats snooze in peace. No playtime wake-up calls, please. They enjoy their catnaps, just like us.
Keep the noise down. Yelling, running, stomping, or jumping is off-limits. Our cats appreciate zen vibes.
Do not chase the cats. If a cat walks away during pets, it’s their way of saying, “I’m good, thanks!”. Let them have their space.
No cat tail tug-o-wars, ear pulls, or whisker twirls allowed. Do not pull a cat’s tail, ears, whiskers, or any other part of their body. Cats aren’t fans and might retaliate with a bite.
Only goodies from our cafe are welcome. Keep outside food and drinks at bay.
Keep an eagle eye on your snacks and drinks. Please make sure the felines don’t sneak a taste.
Do not feed the cats. No matter how adorably they beg. We’ve got their meals covered.
Do not spin the cat wheels. The cats spin them themselves when they run.
Extra rules for those with little visitors (Aged 5-12):
Grown-ups, make sure the young ones stick to the rules. It’s all on you!
It’s like a buddy system – one grown-up for every two kiddos aged 5-12.
Keep an eye on your little ones when they are mingling with our fabulous felines.
For everyone’s sake, including our furry pals, we have the power to kindly escort anyone not playing by the rules out of the cat room, with no refund. At The Kitty Cup, we take animal happiness seriously and won’t hesitate to bid farewell to anyone causing a ruckus.
The safety of our guests is just as crucial as the safety of our cats. In line with this, we have implemented a policy not allowing children aged 4 and under in the cat room. Considering the sensitive skin of babies and young children alongside the sharp claws of cats, we place a strong emphasis on the safety of your little ones.
